Oxford - day 3

Off to meet Douglas for lunch at the University Club, Candy led us north-west along the Thames footpath, past 19th century warehouses and Osney Lock, over the Thames on Botley Road, past the train station and into Oxford from the west, sticking our noses into Nuffield College, across New Road from the Oxford Castle Mound.

We met Douglas here at the corner of Holywell St and Mansfield Rd, opposite New College (his base), and Candy pointed out the inscriptions on the two plaques under the clock:
 "It's later than you think"
and
"It's never too late"

And then we had lunch.
